Hi everyone! I’m Caitlin, a junior in High School who loves reading and singing. I took on the role of Co-Head because of my passion for supporting students in need and my commitment to creating opportunities for them to thrive. I strongly believe that every student, regardless of their background or circumstance, deserves the chance to reach their fullest potential. Being part of this team allows me to make a meaningful impact in their lives while growing as a leader. By connecting volunteers who are eager to help and students who are looking for personal guidance, I strive to make P2P a community of lasting bonds built on mutual growth that can support both mentors and mentees beyond their education.
I want to be a mentor at Peer2Peer because I firmly believe that every student deserves access to guidance and support, regardless of their circumstances. Mentorship can provide these young individuals with the encouragement and resources they need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. I’ve always learnt best through brainstorming with peers and discussion, and I believe mentorship program really plays to my strengths, and I believe it can bring a lot of benefits to a student’s learning.
I want to become a mentor in Peer2Peer, as I like working and having fun with kids. I also want to share my knowledge and passion for Math & English by becoming a mentor.
I want to be a mentor because I want to be able to use my skills and knowledge to help the children in our community. Since I have the time and ability to, I want to support in the ways that I can.
Hi, I'm Coco, a 15-year old international student. I'm proficient in Mandarin and English, and basic Cantonese. My extracurriculars include drawing, playing table tennis, and playing the piano. In general, I love studying sciences, maths, and english, and I hope that I can use my knowledge to help pique others' interests in these areas, especially those in our local community.
I want to be a mentor because I know I am fortunate to have access to a good quality education that I am fully satisfied with, so I want to share what I've learned with others who might not have the same opportunities as me. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed no matter their background or where they're from. I enjoy working with younger kids, and I think that I have the right abilities and skills to help them with their learning. I hope that from working as a mentor, I not only aid underprivileged kids in their education, but I also hope to grow as a person by learning from them and understanding their challenges as well as creating new connections in my community.
I want to be a mentor because i love working with children and peers to help better grasp topics and sharing tips on ways to understand content and not rely purely on memorization.
I’ve gained valuable leadership insights from my past experiences such as Model United Nations and Vice Captain of Cross Country Team. peer2peer provides a platform for me to showcase my leadership skills and contribute to the community. I’ve been passionate about equal education and I’ve gained experience in tutoring under privilege students in Cambodia for over 6 months, I believe I will become a good mentor with my cheerful and supportive personality.
I want to be a Student Mentor in Peer2Peer because I recognise the importance of education and mentorship and how it can positively impact the lives of students in Hong Kong. I am interested in this opportunity as I want to contribute to connecting educational disparities in Hong Kong and ensuring inclusive access to quality education for all students. By being a mentor in Peer 2 Peer, my goal is to help students improve in academics, athletics, and English. I am passionate about creating a supportive community among students. This experience allows me to learn more on the challenges faced by students in Hong Kong and also develop new skills of teaching to gain more experience.
I would like to become a mentor so I could gain more experience in teaching and interacting with children, as well as develop my patience and communication skills through tutoring children with their schoolwork. I also enjoy teaching children, and it is always very fulfilling to help the children at the end and help them solve a problem. I did not have the privilege of having a tutor to teach me homework when I was small, so I hope that through this opportunity, I can help more children with their schoolwork. Overall it will be a very meaningful experience while it also helped me to broaden my social circle and train my confidence as well.
I would like to be a mentor and make a difference in other student's lives. I find that pressure can come from struggling in school, and being able to get extra help can definitely make things less stressful and relieve some pressure. This mentoring volunteering would also count as a part of my community action project for my IGCSE global citizenship subject at school, where I have chosen something that I'm passionate about.
I want to become a mentor because I want to bridge the education gap and help in providing equal opportunities in learning and education enrichment for all. Personally, I want to teach as a fellow peer rather than a teacher, making it interesting and fun for the mentee.
It all stemmed from my myriad learning experiences. These include completing the IB Diploma programme abroad, participating in many science competitions, and engaging in various performing arts disciplines. These valuable experiences have reaffirmed my belief that a balanced approach to student life far outweighs a tunnel-visioned one in terms of academic performance, physical and mental health, and future outlook. I was ecstatic to learn that Peer2Peer offers a broad range of programmes to cater to the different, yet equally important, needs of a student. Recognizing the value of well-roundedness is what inspires me to become a mentor at Peer2Peer.
I am deeply committed to education and mentorship, recognizing their transformative impact on personal and academic development. My experiences as a mentor, tutor, and student teacher have reinforced my belief that individualized guidance and a supportive learning environment can empower students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. As a mentor at IntoUniversity, I provide tailored one-on-one support, assisting students in setting academic goals, exploring future opportunities, and developing effective learning strategies. Beyond academic guidance, I strive to create a supportive space where students feel encouraged to develop confidence and resilience. This experience has strengthened my ability to listen, adapt, and offer practical solutions that cater to individual needs. I am particularly drawn to Peer2Peer, as I firmly believe that mentorship provides a unique and invaluable opportunity for students to learn from and support one another.
I'm interested in becoming a mentor because I find fulfillment in helping others grow and overcome challenges. Sharing my knowledge and experiences not only benefits others but also allows me to develop my own skills, such as leadership and communication. This project fosters meaningful connections and gives me the opportunity to give back, making a positive difference in someone else's life. I am also motivated to help younger children in their studies as I believe education plays a major role in one's life. This can help impact children' academic challenges through development by learning from different perspectives.
I'm extremely passionate in making an impact and giving back to the community through student one-to-one mentorships, especially in subjects I enjoy, so I can share the joy of learning with others.
I want to be a mentor because I believe in the incredible power of guidance and support in a young person's life. Witnessing the spark of understanding and growth in a child's eyes is immensely rewarding, and I hope to inspire and empower young minds to reach their full potential. Being a mentor allows me to not only share knowledge but also to listen, learn, and grow alongside the children I have the privilege to guide. Together, we can create a brighter future filled with possibilities and endless opportunities for personal development and success. I hope to be the key to that opportunity and assist children in any way possible.
Throughout my high school journey I have always had a deep interest in sciences, especially in chemistry and biology. I always loved to spread my interest in learning through simplifying seemingly challenging topics and explaining them in a clear manner to my juniors and classmates. I remember struggling with how to study efficiently in my first year of middle school which I believe a lot of students are struggling from. Through volunteering at peer2peer, I hope to not only help students to understand concepts that they might find difficult but also learn how to study effectively and I also hope to let them discover their passion in learning.
I believe in the transformative power of education and the importance of providing equal opportunities for all. By becoming a mentor, I hope to make a positive impact while also enhancing my own skills in communication and leadership. I’m excited to share my knowledge in subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science, and to create a supportive learning environment that encourages growth and critical thinking for both my mentees and myself.
I have 2 years of tutorial experience, ranging from primary school kids to high school students. I teach mainly English maths and science related subjects. I volunteered teaching at Peer2Peer's mentoring program in Transition House Center at Kai Tai, and it was a fun and meaningful experience. Really interested in becoming a Peer2Peer's mentor here!
I want to be a mentor to give back to my community and learn more responsibility regarding helping others. In my current school community project, I am trying to research the same topic of poverty and education in kids. I believe that every child should be able to have basic necessities in their life, including adequate education and through this work I hope I can at least help alleviate some part of this major issue in Hong Kong.
I want to be a mentor at Peer2Peer because I firmly believe that every student deserves access to guidance and support, regardless of their background. Mentorship provides encouragement, resources, and personalized learning strategies that can help young individuals overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Having experienced the transformative power of education myself, I am passionate about bridging gaps in learning and fostering a supportive, engaging environment where students can thrive. I enjoy working with peers and younger students, sharing knowledge in a way that goes beyond memorization, making learning interactive and meaningful. By being part of Peer2Peer, I hope to contribute to a more equitable educational landscape in Hong Kong, empowering students to become confident, well-rounded future leaders.
Having just graduated from secondary school with four A*s in A Level Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, I aim to utilise my knowledge to combine my passion for public speaking and teaching with my interest in science. As a Student Mentor, I hope to inspire other students to pursue interests in STEAM and support mentees by improving their academic and communication skills.
I think mentoring is a great challenge for myself. I would be able to gain invaluable soft skills applicable for any job I hope to pursue in the future. Also, I think giving back to the community by supporting the less privileged and seeing the children grow academically would be extremely rewarding. I love English and Science as school subjects and I'm hoping to share these passions.

I want to become an online mentor because I am passionate about gaining experience in supporting young learners as part of my studies in Educational Psychology. I believe that every child should receive equal education regardless of their background, and I am committed to contributing to that goal through mentoring. Although I am currently based in the UK, I am enthusiastic about volunteering online to help students develop confidence in their learning. This opportunity would allow me to both apply my academic knowledge and make a meaningful impact in promoting accessible and inclusive education.
I want to be a mentor because I believe in the transformative power of education. Growing up, I had tutors who made a significant impact on my learning and confidence, and I want to pay that forward. Moreover, volunteering as a tutor allows me to contribute to my community while fostering a love for learning in students. I hope to enhance the understanding and learning processes of underprivileged children who struggle with specific subjects, providing guidance and aid for those who don’t have the privilege to access external mentors and subsequently playing my part to bridge the educational disparity gap in Hong Kong.

As students, firsthand how big the education gap is in Hong Kong. Many children don’t have the same opportunities to learn and succeed, and that’s something I truly care about. I want to be mentor because I believe everyone deserves a chance to get a good education. By sharing what I’ve learned in school, I hope to help underprivileged kids overcome challenges and find joy in learning. I genuinely want to make a difference in their lives and successfully. It’s important to me that every child feels supported and encouraged. Through this action, I hope to learn from this and grow as people in the process.
I want to be a mentor because I really enjoy helping kids who need a bit of extra support with their learning. I know that not every student learns at the same pace, and sometimes they just need someone patient who can explain things in a different way. I would really love to volunteer my time to help them build confidence, understand their schoolwork better, and feel more supported. I personally feel that it is important to give back to my community, and I see mentoring as a meaningful way to do that.
I have a deep passion for teaching as I believe that when I learn new things, it is the most important to pass it on to future generations. I believe that I have the capability to provide a fun way of teaching, but at the same time, ensuring that the mentee fully understands the concept. I have received a lot of tutoring my whole life and I cannot describe how much it has helped me through my learning journey. Thus, I wish for myself to be a tutor for someone and be a part of their success during their education, especially for those who are unable to afford tuition fees. Furthermore, I also really enjoy interacting with kids as I think they really have the genuine ability to lighten up a room.
